How to calculate a PFT score?
Each event is scored 0鈥?00 based on performance tables from your service's physical fitness regulation. Total score = sum of all event scores. For USMC PFT (3 events): max 300. For Army ACFT (6 events): max 600. For Air Force FA (3 events): composite score.
What is a 1st Class PFT score?
For USMC: 1st Class = 235鈥?99 points (鈮?78.3% of max 300). This is the top tier and positively impacts your fitness report and promotion competitiveness. In 2024, approximately 65% of Marines scored 1st Class or higher.
Is a 240 PFT good?
Yes. For USMC PFT (out of 300), 240 is solidly 1st Class, averaging 80 points per event and earning positive fitness report marks.
What is a 300 PFT?
Perfect score: maximum points in all events. For USMC males 17-26: 20+ pull-ups, 3:50+ plank, 18:00 or faster 3-mile run. Fewer than 1% of Marines achieve this career distinguisher.
What are the USMC PFT requirements by age?

What is a good CFT score?
